Did you ever hear about the amazing way of getting rid of a mole using just apple cider vinegar and a bandage? Well, I did and I’ve been wanting to try an apple cider vinegar mole removal experiment for over a year now. I saw a few posts from people that have tried it and it really worked for them with minimal scarring! I thought it must be too good to be true. But to my surprise, I tried it a few weeks ago and found out it really does work!!
I’ve documented my experience through pictures, in case you want to try it too!
Maybe you’re wondering, like I did, whether your skin might scar or something weird might happen because this way is too good to be true. Well, so far I can say I only have minimal pink on the area and that is almost gone. There are other posts online that show similar results and everyone says that it really worked for them with minimal scarring!
My mole was gone in 4 days!!! There is no pain involved at all and six days from the start of the treatment it came off, just like a scab! I still can’t believe it. When you look at the pictures that were taken each day you can see how it changed day to day so you’ll know what to expect. (see them below)
Why Do an Apple Cider Vinegar Mole Removal?
I love do it yourself natural treatments that you can do in the privacy of your own home! But most of all the fantastic benefits are;
1. It’s completely pain free (at least it was for me),
2. Very inexpensive and
3. Leaves minimal scarring.
I was pleasantly surprised that the apple cider vinegar mole removal didn’t hurt at all! The area didn’t even get sore, which makes you wonder if it’s really working….. ‘till you see it start to form a scab.
I’ve had a mole removed by a dermatologist before and that is definitely a much worse experience…so painful and, for me, it left an indented scar! I’m so glad I gave the apple cider vinegar a try.
How it Works:
You apply the apple cider vinegar (ACV) to the mole and cover it with a bandage, reapplying the ACV daily until the mole forms a scab (within a few days to a week). The scab should fall off without any remnants of the mole. When it falls off, It may be slightly pink (like it was for me),but that should fade away overtime.
(From the pictures you can see that the mole I experimented with it on was a raised mole. I had been wanting to remove it for quite a while.)
What You Need:
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Cotton swabs
- Small bandages
How to Do an Apple Cider Vinegar Mole Removal:
*Note the first day I tried to do this, it was a disaster because I didn’t use the most appropriate cotton and bandage. I originally tried to do it by cutting a cotton ball and using a Band-aid to cover it…but the apple cider vinegar leaked all over. What a mess, lol! I would suggest doing the following instead:
1. Take one of these cotton swabs and pull the cotton off of the end of the swab. It will give you a perfectly sized very mini cotton ball.
2. Take the cotton ball and dip it in apple cider vinegar, I used this kind. Squeeze it out so it is not dripping wet.
3. Put it directly on your mole and cover it with one of these bandages. I would only suggest using these bandages or something similar because they are sticky all the way around, not just on two sides. So they fully lock in the vinegar and don’t let it drip out and irritate other areas of your skin.
4. Leave it on for about 6 to 8 hours, then remove everything, change the cotton swab ball, put new ACV on and put on a new bandage. Now, I only did this during the day and didn’t leave it on when I was sleeping. Some people also leave it on while they’re sleeping.
Keep doing this for about 3 to 5 days or until you see a black scab form. See my pictures below for how my mole changed each day.
Some people have different methods for using apple cider vinegar to remove their mole, such as poking holes in the mole with a needle before applying the vinegar, but I didn’t do that.
Here’s how my mole changed over the days:
Day 1: Pictured at the top of my post. The picture was taken before applying anything to my mole.
Day 2: After one full day of applying the ACV, and leaving it off over night. The mole seemed to turn a little red.
Day 3: The mole seemed to turn white and a little scab like, with red skin around it. It wasn’t quite a scab yet, so I decided to keep going with applying it.
Day 4: It turned black and looked just like a scab. So I decided to stop applying anything and just leave it alone. Hoping the scab would fall off.
Day 6: The scab fell off, and here’s how it looked, slightly pink. But the mole is completely gone!!
Day 14: Here’s how it looked 8 days after the scab fell off. The area is a little pink still, which I hope will fade over time, but my skin is completely flat and smooth where the mole was. There is no indentation at all.
Overall, I’m really happy with the results and would definitely do it again! I’ll add another photo to this post after more time has passed so you can see how it is healing. My apple cider vinegar mole removal was a success! I would definitely suggest using it for removing a mole.
Update: 12/5/2015 – I wanted to share an updated picture of where I did my apple cider vinegar mole removal experiment. The area where the mole was is a tad pink still, hardly noticeable though. The skin area is smooth with no indentation, which I’m really happy about.
Here’s my 6 month mole update picture:
Update: 10/9/2017 – It’s been two years since I did my apple cider vinegar mole removal experiment. I’m still really happy with results! I’m going to try this again for a mole on my face.

Hi there, I used this to remove a growth on the side of my neck, I could not believe it. I am trying it on a couple of Moles I have. I just didn’t get around to doing it again but your post encouraged me to do it tonight. Thanks so much!!
Yoli
Wow! Do you think this might work on skin tags or warts?
Yes, my kids have used this method to remove warts. Definitely works. I never thought to use it on moles but will give it a go now.
Is it normal for a white ring to appear around area were you or your loved ones applyd acv I personally used it on a frekel on my nose however my nose is red around frekel and there is a white ring around the frekel dose that go away and is that normal to see that with the use of acv..and now 2 day I stopped and now I’m just applying aloevera.. Because I’m so scared if I use the acv and because it is on my nose I’m afraid that the redness and the white circle may not go away..
I find putting Vaseline or chap stick on the skin around the mole. The ACV is extremely acidic and so it is also blistering the skin around it. Just take a break for a few days. When you start again put the chap stick on the areas that aren’t the mole.
HEY, I know how u feel… I have been using AVC for a few days the white ring does go away, I know this because it is happening to me. Tonight I just got the black scab and I am kinda scared but so happy because my mole is going away and it has only
been a few days Xx
P.S. ACV means apple cinder vinega
Yes!!! I had a really large skin tag mole that looked like it was made up of a cluster of little moles on my face. I used an emery board to rough up the surface of the mole so that it would absorb the vinegar. Then, I put a cotton ball soaked with Bragg’s apple cider vinegar on the mole and covered it with a bandage. I left the bandage on for a few hours. I only did this twice before I noticed results. The mole dried up and fell off completely within about two weeks. It did not scar or damage the surrounding skin. Make sure you use natural, unfiltered and organic ACV by Bragg’s with “the mother” vinegar. I am still shocked that it worked so well!! 🙂
I had genital warts and applied apple cide vinegar and after 4 days, they are completely gone. It is amazing. I am trying it now on these 2 moles I have. Check this out for the warts – http://www.returnofkings.com/40419/how-to-remove-genital-warts-on-your-penis-using-apple-cider-vinegar
Ski tags yes. Warts I don’t know never had one.
Hi it definitely works on veruccas and warts. I tried it on my daughter at night and it went black in a couple of nights then fell off. Need to do again after it’s dropped off if it’s deep though. It will go black again if any left in.
Does it grow back after removal?
Thanks for sharing! Let us know how it works on the moles
Do you have to use that specific brand of Apple Cider Vinegar?
You don’t have to. But, it’s the only one I’ve found that is unprocessed and unfiltered.
I am on day seven and there has been no change at all in the mole on my forehead.
Are you keeping it on all day and night?
cover it with ACV day and night won’t work? or it has to be 8 hours a day?
Hi Lori
Thanks so much for sharing your advice and experience.
I went to the hospital with my annoying mole on my nose. I was told my mole was a benign mole ( thank god) but was also told nothing could be done to help me and I’d have to pay private £ 300-500 to get it removed and may result in scar.
I tried cider vinegar on it and couldn’t be happier with the results.
My mole is no longer on my nose.
I used one application of Cider vinager and applied a bandaid, then I let the area dry and scab over, occasionally dabbing with luke warm water. I did get a white ring round the mole and it went black which concerned me. However, after 5 days the scab dropped of, no remanence of the mole, no visable scarring, just bit tender as expected.
Thank you xx
I’m so happy to hear that! I have another mole I want to use it for on my face.
I removed my mole .. while wiping my face the mole cane off and there’s pink flesh underneath.. wt do I use to heal that. Ok help
Hi!!!lorie thqnks for the info regarding how to remove the mole using ACV. I try to use after 3 days i notive mole become black and skin become dry…i have a mole on my face but i feel nervous too after scab and fell out what the result aft3r use it cannot cause for caliod.
Wow! Do you think this might work on skin tags or warts?
Yes! My brother used it to remove a wart and I know many have used it for skin tags too.
Please don’t try this! It can lead to major infections… you need to talk to a real dermatologist before you try and use apple cider vinegar to remove a mole!
Why would apple cider cause an infection? I used it to remove a wart over 5 years ago, and it has never come back.
There are tons of reports online of people who got infections and burns that leave permanent scars from using acv-it may be natural but it is still an acid.
I absolutely agree with you, warts fine, moles leave alone! At least consult a medical professional first. Who knows what a ‘regular’ mole looks like, I have several and each one is completely different. Your mole in the first photo looked pretty irregular to me. And genital warts? Jeez, this method might remove the visible warts but you are problably still infected and contagious-please go to a doc and get tested for hpv before you have sexual contact with anyone else!
There is no guarantee that a removal at the doctors won’t give infections, scars or that the mole will not come back… many people experience problems after…I rather try this and just make sure I keep everything clean…
If it is cancerous it will have to be removed anyway…and I can repeat the procedure if needed…whenever I want to…
Spoken like a dermatologist trying to make some money……
Haha! Agreed… The infections happen when dumb people INJECT themselves carelessly.
I agree, i just tried this a week ago and part of my mole has fallen off tonight. It is an open wound so i did cover with a bandage with NO acv to let it heal and get no infection and then i will start acv again on remaining! I did this because my mole was horrid and im getting married and my dress wpuldnt cover it since it is strapless! It is working for me!
Stop spreading irrational fear lady.
I have removed five skin moles now and have not had problem with any sort of infection or deep scaring.
I have removed 5 skin moles using ACV and have not suffered with an infection.
good to know
Apple Cider Vinegar is a natural antibiotic and antiviral, so if anything, it will prevent and cure infections, not cause them.
Thanks for the tip
You could also use Vaseline on the skin around the mole to protect it and save it from getting irritated.
Just make sure you don’t get it on the part you want to remove.
Great tip! I wonder if applying coconut oil to the skin around it would work too.
I removed a large mole from my face some years ago using only organic coconut oil because I didn’t know about ACV then. I used the same technique as you’ve described, but just with the coconut oil. I applied it at night and left it on only while sleeping. It took longer, maybe a couple of weeks, but it crumbled up and flaked off, and no scarring at all. It has never returned. I’m a definite believer!
Wow! That’s great! I’ll have to try it on a mole.
Sorry, I’m all photos I’ve seen the results havn’t been perfect and your method you claimed to have perfect results. Could you possibly send a picture? It’s just that my mole is on my face and I don’t want scarring. Sorry it’s a bit of an ask, completely fine if you decline
I used vaseline when I removed a wart using ACV. Vaseline is thicker and stays where you put it to protect skin. Coconut oil tends to melt at skin temperature, and drips off where you want it to stay, and it will mix with the ACV.
Wow thank you Lori for your post. I seen another individual that did this using the needles poking his mole then applying ACV, but I like your method better!! And like another comment said “you’ve encouraged me to do this!” so I’m gonna do it as soon as I get some bandages yippy!
Let us know how it works if you give it a try!
Did you ever try this acv method?we’re you successful and did it cause a lot of redness around area you applyd it to?or a white circle if so did it go away? And how long did it take?
No offense, but you really should put a note on here to tell people to consult their doctor/dermatologist first. Irregular looking moles could be cancerous and shouldn’t be messed with.
Thanks for mentioning that. I would not use this on an irregular looking mole.
Hi Lori
What do you mean by ‘pull the cotton off the end of the swab’ The round cotton swabs I have are smooth one side and a bit furry the other. Do you mean to pull the furry bit off?
This must be a dumb question because no one else has asked it.
Yea! I mean pull the furry bit off on the end. It’s not a dumb question… I had a hard time figuring out how to describe it myself lol. I just pull off the furry bit on the end of the q-tip and it comes off as a perfect small sized cotton ball..just the right size to cover my mole and not get much surrounding skin.
pull the cotton end off the q tip
Yes
Lori this is brilliant. Shared to our Facebook page. We have used Braggs Organic Apple Cider vinegar for 4 plus years and have not been sick. No coughs, no cold, no sore throats or fever. Just 2 Teaspoons in a glass of warm water within 15 minutes of feeling an impending illness and it stops everything. But only when we feel sick, no everyday. So I can believe it’s power to cure a mole. Thank you very much for this.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Lori, as I said before I have used this method on a growth on the side of neck and it took it away in about 2 months. I am trying it again and one is off but I’m still putting ACV on it to make sure but the other two are taking longer. Should I keep pressing on??
Thanks so much
Have they formed a scab yet? I stopped once it formed a scab and then the scab fell off.
Hey Lori, The one on my leg did form a scab but I keep putting ACV on it because I don’t want it to come back. While I had the band aid on in the shower, while shaving, the razor grabbed hold of the band aid and took off part of my skin below the mole. So I have two things going on at the same time. Raw honey with Lavender and Tea Tree to heal that. Can’t believe it. The other 2 are not doing as well as the one on my leg and they were flatter. I keep pressing on with those but I have irritated skin now around the mole. When I try coating around the mole the band aid won’t stick. I think I will leave the one on my leg alone now to see if the redness heals. Wish me luck!
Good luck! Keep us updated.
I had to rough one of my moles up a bit to with a rough towel or emery board before it would make any progress. I have question. I have a mole just past my hairline. I have fine hair so it is very visible. I wonder if I used this method if it would burn the hair of permanently also? I don’t want that to happen. What do you think?
What about the roots of the mole?
As far as I know, moles have roots under the skin. So if the mole fell off (by any means, except by a surgery) the roots are still there under the skin, and these roots will form a mole again.
That’s what I was wondering too because my dermatologist always says that the root has to be removed. I did this experiment about 2 months ago and the mole completely disappeared, but just this week I noticed I have one tiny freckle where the mole was. I hope it’s not growing back. I might redo applying the ACV on the small spot if it gets bigger and see what happens. I’m still extremely happy with the results because it got rid of the raised mole that I always nicked while shaving.
Please keep me updated. Let me know if the freckle got bigger.
I had a mole on my cheek that looked exactly the same as the mole in the picture. Last week, I used ACV for 5 days, and then the mole fell off. Now, my skin is still irritated, but it’s getting better each day.
It’s just that I’m so worried that the roots under my skin would grow a new mole again at the same spot. I always HATED that mole, and I don’t wanna see it ever again.
Please keep me updated with your case. Thank you
So far mine hasn’t grown back and I hope it doesn’t. I’ll keep you updated 🙂
Hi! I’m in the midst of helping my friend remove her facial mole but unlike yours her mole is becoming white. The skin around the mole has a white ring around it and the previous raised mole is now flat and darker. Are these results weird and in your opinion should we continue or leave it be? 🙂
*sorry I mean her mole is becoming darker and from a raised mole to a flat one but the skin around it is white and not the mole itself 🙂
Hi!
I’ve tried it on a raised mole (and a flat one) and it happens too. Now I have a scab, the mole is less darker that it was and the skin around is red a bit. The white disappeared.
I had success removing a wart with ACV that hasn’t come back for over 5 years. I have removed moles myself other ways than ACV, but they always come back.
hi ! this is my very first try and im nervous but i would like to be more confident with myself so i will try i wish it reall work. !
Let us know how it turns out 🙂
do you thonk putting the bandage on the mole only at night will work, or does it have to be up there all day
It may work. I tried that at first then had to increase it to leaving it on 24/7.
Lori, please keep us updated with your case. Tell us about that tiny freckle, if it got bigger or not. And if you had to use ACV again.
I believe that stage after the mole falls off is very important. ACV seems to work just fine and helps us to get rid of moles, but we’ve got to know if it really burns the cells of the mole, and if it kills the roots of the mole as well.
Please don’t forget to keep us updated. Thank you.
Lori,
I am curious to know if the pinkness has faded for you. Would you add an updated pic?
I have a mole id like to get rid of but its very visible and I’m debating id a pinkish scar is a better trade off?
Thanks!
Rachel
Hi Rachel, the pinkness has completely faded. However, I have one super tiny freckle where the mole was. It came up about a few weeks after the scab fell off. I am so happy with the result because before it was a large raised mole. Now it is just a tiny dot of a freckle. I’m thinking that I didn’t completely “kill” the mole. I’m going to wait a few more weeks and might apply it again to the freckle spot and then post a picture after what happens with that.
Hi, I’m so nervous about using this method, I have a raised freckle under my eye, but I’m so insecure about it, I’ve had it since I was like a toddler (I’m nearly 20), I’m constantly hiding it when I’m out. I just want to get rid of it, would this work on raised ‘freckles’. Thank you.
Personally, I think it would work. But, everyone is different so I guess there is always a chance/risk. I have a small raised freckle on the side of my eye, near my hairline that bothers me. I was hesitant to try it on that mole before trying it on another mole because I was afraid what might happen, especially since it’s on my face. Now, that I tired it on a mole under my arm, I’m going to try it on the freckle on my face soon. I’ve been waiting for summer to be over, because after the scab falls off, I don’t want much sunlight to get at it as it may not heal as well.
Always see a dermatologist. By removing a mole yourself there is always a risk that it could have been canceous
and a part of it still remains in the skin. The dermatologist will take a biopsy .
This sounds convincing, been reading a lot about it. I have tried it on a flat mole on my stomach and it scabbed up but when the scab came off the pigment was still there, slightly lighter though. How raised was your mole? I want to try it again but this time on a small, very slightly raised mole on my leg. How does yours look now?
Thanks 🙂
My mole was raised, maybe 2mm. When I rubbed my finger over it, I could feel a definite bump..it wasn’t flat. Right now, the mole is gone and my skin is completely flat, but there is one spot of a freckle where the mole was. I’m not sure whether to just leave the freckle because I am happy with it compared to the big raised mole it was or to try the ACV on it to remove it too.
Hi! Was there a burning sensation after you have applied the apple cider vinegar?
I was really surprised there wasn’t! It didn’t burn for me at all, which I thought was really strange.
Hi!
I’ve tried it on 2 moles, one raised and one flat, at the moment they are dark with red skin around the moles. The raised one begins to have a scab, so I’ll continue applying.
Could you update a picture and tell us if the mole grew back, as you said there was a freckle that grew up?
Thanks 🙂
Thanks for updating us on how it’s working for you! Yes, I’ll upload a picture this weekend. I’ve been waiting to see if it changes anymore (I was worried it would grow back). But, it seems to be staying the same with just one tiny dot of a freckle. So, I think I’ll just upload a picture of it 🙂
For now, I think it’s like your day 4, thought it’s been more than that for me.
It did burn a wee bit while applying though. So I am just waiting for the scab to fall off!
And thanks for the picture, I’ll wait for it. I really hope it won’t grow, that is why I ‘m waiting before trying it in my face, as I have a mole on my nose so, pretty easy to see.
How did yours turn out? Sorry, I haven’t uploaded a picture yet. I’ll try to do it tomorrow. Just got so busy with the holiday.
I have tried acv very stingyly the last two days a little on a cotton ball only a little since I drink it too haha..tonight I will soak a cotton ball and give this a go hope it works!
Hi Lori, please tell me. I have a mole like that on my upperlip near my nose. It is raised and it used to be flat when i was younger but it became raised as i grew into a teenager. I’m 25. Did the mole itch when it was scabby? & what is a band aid and a qtip? Is it a plaster? I’m from the uk.
It didn’t itch at all for me when it turned into a scab. You can use a small cotton ball instead of the qtip end and the band aid is just to hold it in place.
I have a question I have been doing this method for 3 nights now and about 3/4 of my mole is black.. And it’s hurting a little. Do I need to keep doing it til it’s all black? Do I keep doing it a couple nights after its all black
When mine turned black and looked like a scab, I stopped applying it.
hello.. i dont know if its working on me.. everytime i apply acv on my mole… its cause headache on me.:( i dunno if i should keep doin it? and my mole doesn’t really get scab. its been 6 days now ,, should i stop it?
Sorry to hear that, I don’t think I would continue if I thought it could be causing a headache. I haven’t heard of it causing a headache, but anything is possible!
Hi, I am an esthetician, I work for a Dermatologist. Moles will never be completely removed unless done so surgically. Even then, if some of the cells extend deeper and are not taken, recurrence can happen. Removing your mole is doing nothing if the cells below are not touched, and more than likely will make it less cosmetically friendly if it does return. Chances of the ACV being absorbed by the skin that deep to kill the cells is very unlikely. While it may be a nice temporary fix, its not a permanent fix for all. Also, like I mentioned earlier… Some tend to come back looking worse than before!!!
Thanks for sharing! I talked to my dermatologist about it a few weeks ago. He said he’s had quite a few patients try it, for some it does remove the ‘root’ of the mole. It depends on the person/mole. I haven’t heard of anyone’s experiences about it growing back worse than before, but anything is possible. I’m really happy with my results.
I’ve used it on 3 so far. One in particular I was going to have removed but talked to a friend who had one in the same place. She got hers surgically removed and discouraged me from getting mine removed because it left a large and uneven scar. I’m so happy I tried ACV because I had no scarring, just some irritation that went away after a while. Also the doctor told me removal starts at $500. One bottle of ACV is $4-7 and no pain or scar! 🙂
Hi Lory!
I hope you can help me.
I have a mole on my face since I remember myself (genetic). It is not flat.
I’ve tried using garlic on my other mole on my hand and the mole was gone but after about 2 weeks it came back in a weird shape and a little bit of white around it.
So I’m afraid of using ACV because I’m afraid I’ll have the same result because both garlic and ACV contain avid in it.
So now I’m thinking about cutting it at the doctor’s office but scared from the scar it may leave.
Please help me, I’m desperate.
Hi Shani, yea it can be a tough decision. I was originally going to get my mole removed at the dermatologist but didn’t because he said it may leave a deep scar if the root is deep. I’m so happy with how the results turned out from using the ACV. But, everyone is different so it’s hard to predict what’s gonna happen. Keep us updated 🙂
Fantastic! that worked for me in only 5 days. Recommend it.
Yay! That’s awesome!
Lori, hi. i have a mole on my check last Thursday i started putting acv on it and its black and hard like a scab now. do i continue to keep applying the acv twice a day for 20 minutes or just wait for it to fall off? i have used this on warts and skin tags before and work perfect with no issues. i have a little red around the mole and some skin peeling so i have been applying lotion to that area.
Thanks
Once mine turned black and hard like a scab, I left it alone and waited for the scab to fall off. Keep us updated 🙂
can i apply water and lotion as before ? and what about if it has hair
Do you mean apply lotion while using the apple cider vinegar? I wouldn’t apply anything to the area while the mole has ACV applied to it.
Does it work on flat moles too?
It did work on one of my flat moles too.
Hi my me is on my face and raised I have been applying the cider vinegar but only the top as formed a scab and the rest seems normal, because it’s quite a big mole will it still fall of in time and how long roughly please
It took about 5 to 6 days for the complete process for me. Once the scab formed it fell off 2 days later.
Did you have a white circle around the area you applyd it to..and if you did how long did it take for it to go away?
Right before the scab formed, it was a little white.
My raised mole took 4 weeks of applying ACV for 24 hours a day. I had to rough it up with nail file also to get it to all be exposed to the ACV.
Hi, I have a raised mole just above my eyebrow and I’ve wanted to get rid of it for awhile now. What is the least amount of time daily that I should have the ACV on my mole? I don’t want a bandaid on my face all day for weeks, so I’m hoping I could put it on while I sleep. And how long should the whole process take? Thanks!
It took me about 3 to 4 days. It can probably vary a little for everyone.
Hi just wondering if you ever went threw with trying out the acv..and if you did was you’re experience successful.. And if so did you get a white circle around the mole? And if you did how long did it take to go away? I really need some advice..thanks and it would be greatly appreciated..
I have done this back in September on my shin right where I shave. It all went well, its flat and smooth but I still have a reddish blemish from where the mole removed. Any thoughts? How long does it take for the skin to totally clear up, will it? Or will always be a mark.
I’m not sure. My skin remained slightly pink for a good few months. It may fade with more time. Keep us updated.
hi Lori,
I have a raised mole right in the middle of my forehead. I’ve wanted to remove it for a while, but I am too nervous. I don’t really know what to do because if I apply the ACV and it scabs, there will be a big black scab right in the middle of my forehead. would I just wear a bandaid over it? how long does the scab usually last until it falls off?
It took about 3 to 4 days for my scab to fall off.
I talked to a dermatologist about this treatment, and they said that they were treating a patient who used ACV, and that 3 years later there was a terrible infection… how long has it been since you tried it and have you seen anything abnormal? could that person just have sensitive skin?
I’m surprised to hear that. I wonder what type of infection it was. It seems it would be completely healed within days. But, anything is possible. I haven’t seen anything abnormal. I did it about 6 months ago now. I’m really happy with the results. I’ve also used ACV on my skin remove warts. My dermatologist says he’s had a lot of patients use it with no problem. The only thing is he said, occasionally with ACV, warts will come back. It was reassuring to hear others use it.
I really need some advice.. This is my second day applying acv to a frekel on my nose..I’m really scared because its red around the area I applyd the acv also there is a white ring around the frekel…I’m so scared..is this normal and if so how long does it take to heal..And I’m not seeing any changes in my frekel except its darker.. I think because it seems like mabe there is less skin were the frekel is so of course its a darker..please is this normal.. I’m really scared
Mine turned a little red near the skin around it too, I think because it was hard to get it just perfectly on the mole and not surrounding skin.
does it just look like regular skin now with no pink no scab just skin?
Yes, it does. But, there is a tiny dot of a freckle in the spot.
Hi
I have 2 small flat moles on my chin since birth and I’ve always been insecure about it do you think this remedy would get rid of it
I’m happy with my results with it. I was hesitant to try it on the mole on the side of my face. But, after trying it on a another spot, I feel better about it. Unfortunately, everyone is different so there’s no way to know for sure how it will turn out.
Hi. I’m on my 4th day fighting a mole in my face. In contrast to you I felt an immediate sting after putting the acv on it. And the more I proceed the more gets the pain. The mole is now very flat and completely black. I’m not sure how to continue. Is it to early to stop? Will it fall off at all if I continue?
When mine turned black, I figured the scab was formed and stopped using the ACV. Then the scab fell off two days later.
Hi Lori. I have a flat mole. The size if it was like 1.5 cm. I am so nervous to do this. Do you think it will be removed?
I’m happy that it worked for me. I’m going to try it on a second mole now that I’ve had a good experience with it. It’s hard to predict the exact result for others because everyone is different.
Hi Lori. I’m now at day 4 of doing this method and I don’t see any difference. What should I do?
Hi there, did you end up seeing any change?
Hi!! I’ve been researching this method for a while now and I feel like its time to try it out, I did go see my dermatologist but since i have a slightly raised black mole above my lip the doctors said it would cause real bad scarring if i chose to have it surgically removed. my question is that my mole which is already pretty dark in color when will i know that its time to stop using acv ?? oh btw can u post a picture of the area now? haha thanks 🙂
I have a mole exactly like yours, but on top edge of my lip & I hate it! Can you tell me how you’d turned out or send pics? I want to try this but am scared. Thanks so much!
For a facial mole, I’d be reluctant to try this. I would probably experiment with a similar mole on a less conspicuous place. You may want to consult a plastic surgeon.
I stopped using the ACV once it turned into a scab.
Hey I’m using it on one of my flat moles and it’s stabbed but not quite black does this mean it’s working or am I only making it worse? Thank you.
I’m not sure what you mean by stabbed?
*stabbed I mean
Is it normal if the mole feels a bit stingy and there is redness around the mole??????
My mom used this method as well and hers was a little red around the mole, but no stinging that I know of.
il tried it but it left a redmark im applying vaseline jelly on it
Did it work?? Is the spot still pink, or did it fade away??
The pink faded away.
You can use apple cider to remove callouses with just a few hrs on it,its really amazing….
Hi! I had 3 flat moles on my face.. One of it was on my cheeck. Before, I tried to remove it using garlic.. And it looks like the mole on my check appeared back and become bigger than usual.. And it looks like there some kinda bruised (?), I dunno, appeared around my mole.. I dunno whether it is okay for me to try use acv or not since I already used garlic, but it looks like kinda failed for me..
How long ago did you use the garlic?
I have my mole in my nose side area since birth. But while im growing up my mole also become bigger.. It is a normal moles or not? I want to remove it but i afraid if can cause cancer after i used ACV..
I am in the process of removing a reddish brown, slightly raised mole on my left cheek. I have been putting ACV on a tiny piece of cotton I pull off a q-tip, and seal it with a bandaid. I apply it before bed and remove it in the morning. The area around the mole is severely irritated on morning 3, but I have realized the amount of saturation on the little ball of cotton is probably the cause. The mole itself burned and is white-ish brown. Day 1 and 2 made the mole look darker but flatter, and began to bleed. Day 3 began the peeling of the skin more visibly. I am putting Neosporin on the area around it now to see how this ends up, but I am seeing that a lot of people are having this reaction of the mole turning white. So, I figured I would share my experience. My tolerance for pain is high so I am going to keep moving forward with this process, because a week or two of pain is worth it to me to not have this giant mole anymore that makeup won’t cover without making me look like I have an unsightly bump on my face! I wish I could post a picture. It looks kinda gross. I will let you all know what happens.
can you send me a picture im curious, because i really want to try the process!!!
Hi Victoria, how are you doing now? It was tough for me to get it only on the mole without surrounding skin too.
so it’s day 3 of doing this and my mole is now black but I can’t really tell if it’s scabbed and there is a white ring around it should I keep applying the acv
Well I think my mole is now infected. The skin around the mole is very red still and there is a white ring around the mole. The mole is scabbed but it just doesn’t look right or good at all so I will be consulting with a doctor soon.
When mine turned black, I stopped applying it.
Hi, please help me. I applied ACV at my Chin area to remove a very small flat mole. I think I applied too much ACV and now my chin area burns. It looks disgusting and worse do you think it will go away if I keep applying aloe vera lotion or should I consult a doctor? I am really scared. The mole appears to be darker with a brown patch around. Please help.
Did you get it on surrounding skin?
Hmmm is this normal if like coz I have a few miles in the side I my face and I put it on every night (acv) and the miles have like faded and they look sortta like they have a dip in them is that supposed to happen?????
Sorry, I don’t really understand what you mean. A dip?
Like its sortta like um yuh no a dip where the mole was like a crater on the moon, I think one of them has gone but the rest has faded is that ment to happen??????
Oh ok, mine had a tiny dip in it after the scab came off, but over a few weeks the skin leveled out and it is completely flat now.
Moles not miles*
I have a raised mole on my leg that has been annoying me more out of embarrassment than anything else you have convinced me to give this a try LOL today is day 1 will keep updated thank you everyone for all the information
Oh and by the way I did give it a light rub with sandpaper before applying the vinegar little bit of a sting very tolerable a couple website said 2 put a needle into it common sense tells me that does not sound sanitary I think the whole reason is to get off the layer of skin to get directly to the mole we will see what happens
Keep us updated Mike 🙂
Got immediate results on day 5 right now it is black and looks more like a scab so I’m going to be cautious and not pick at it LOL stop the vinegar treatment and apply triple antibiotic one thing I did learn the hard way is you have to protect the surrounding skin I got some pretty bad acid burn around the mole but I will take that over that nasty mole any day today is the first day I will not be applying vinegar will report back in a week hopefully the mole has turned into a scab and will disappear thanks again Lori and everybody else who has posted their experience
Yes, I made sure not to pick at my scab so it wouldn’t leave a scar.
Well everybody I have to say the apple cider vinegar did remove the mole which I’m very happy about but I did learn a few things hopefully Lori will agree LOL I mentioned that some other sites said she poke it with a needle the reason for this is to get through the exterior of the mole now I don’t recommend picking up a sewing needle and putting a lighter to it my suggestion would be if you have any place that sells tattoo needles get a 4 or six round Shader you just want to lightly penetrate the top of the mole the reason I’m suggesting a tattoo needle is because they are sanitary and disposable you do not need to dig it in that far just enough to penetrate the surface I believe if you do not feel a burn it is not working the burn is very tolerable and only last the first couple seconds the Apple cider vinegar is applied what work for me was putting on a bandage in the morning and then again around 4 or 5 and then again before bed the only problem that I did encounter was the acid burn on the skin around the mole so I highly recommend using a generous amount of Vaseline to minimalize the acid touching the surrounding skin I really don’t think it is possible to do this successfully without getting burnt I could be wrong but you have to weigh out how bad do you want that mole gone I am in the triple antibiotic stage right now there are no visible infections no pain and I expect it should heal quite nicely though I may have a scar from going a little overboard on the applications if I were to do this again I would take the precautionary measures and patience is definitely key yes the more you use the faster it will disappear but you will also be scarred I know this works if you had the mall for a long time my suggestion to you would be take your time protect the skin around it it will work the longer it takes and the more precautious you are the less scarring you will have to deal with other than that this does work thank you all for your advice I do have an annoying skin tag that I will be trying this on next LOL
Thank you so much for sharing your experience Mike 🙂
Hello
My mole turned white at the middle, looks like it’s pus, maybe not, I don’t know what to do,should I stop with ACV or what? And it also looks bigger, like it’s irritated or something, I am really scared because everybody has different stories, and there’s not enough proof that this is completely harmless:(
Forgot to add, I’ve been using this for 5-6 days now, on two moles, both raised, one is bigger and it has a little black lines that showed up 2 days ago, and the smaller ones has black dots and that scary white thing in the middle, also I used vaseline but it happens that it prickle a bit,so I doubt it’s because of skin irritation, rather be a mole. Quick answer would mean a lot, thanks.
I have a red mole in the corner of my eye.It never used to be there, gradually went from “nothing” to a small red dot,to now…it is BIG,maybe not HUGE,but considering it never existed before…I call it BIG.I would like to remove it without having to go to a doctor.I am considering the “apple cider” treatment, but I am a little weary considering it is “near my eye” where the pads of my glasses rest.Any suggestions or warnings?
John… you may want to see a dermatologist about the red dot near your eye. Several years ago a red dot appeared under my left eye. The dermatologist thought it was “nothing” but he still biopsied the red dot. The results were basal cell carcinoma. Your red dot may be nothing, and my doctor even thought my red dot was nothing, and obviously mine was more serious than he thought. Best of luck to you.
hi!!! do you think it’s effective in flat mole????
I’ve read about people using it on flat moles, but haven’t tried it myself.
Do I have to put anything on my mole in-between the times I put a cotton ball with vinegar on the mole?
Or do I just leave it without anything so it can dry out in the time I don’t put vinegar on the mole?
I didn’t apply anything else to the area.
Hi, I have a 4 moles on my face and they’re ll big. I scanned all of the comment here .. some who used the ACV worked. Some do not. So i am thinking now if i will try it, because aside from it’s cheaper and affordable it won’t leave scar. 🙂
Hi there, I have a mole on my chin and I’ve been doing this treatment for 5 days, and it becomes black and really hard, What should I do then?
Do I have to peel it off or what?? Cause it’s already black so I dont know If it have turn into a scab or nah, please answer???
When mine turned black and into a scab, I stopped applying it and waited for the scab to fall off.
1 month later after using apc for a mole in the back of my neck worked great, the huge mole is gone and the skin is flat. Worked good for me.
Thanks for sharing your results 🙂
I was planning on trying this but I wanted to make sure that it wouldn’t leave a scar and how long would it take for the scar to completely hear if it even does. I also heard that this could be dangerous and i was wondering if it was really dangerous and how it was dangerous.
Hello
Iv been doing this method on a few flat moles on the side of my face I can’t wear my hair up to skwl coz theres a few of them bunched on one side of my face, anyway they go away and begin to look like how it does on the last photo of yours I keep the acv off and they start to come back and Im getting very stressed out what to do?
The mole comes back after the scab fell off? Is it raised or a flat mole?
Mmm like 2 of them loOK like scars but they still feel raised
Does apple cider vinegar work to remove moles that are not raised at all????
I haven’t tried it myself yet for an non-raised mole, but some say it does.
what is your apple cider name bragg or heinz apple cider tell me
I use Bragg.
I have a question. I am trying this ACV on the moles and warts I don’t want and that bug me. So I put the ACV on my wart day before yesterday and now today it actually starting to hurt like the wart band-aid did, is it suppose to hurt like that? Thanks.
Mine was sore when I applied the ACV to a wart.
Thanks. The ACV worked wonders. After a few days and a little soreness, the warts are gone.
So happy to hear that.
Hello, i have a question. I have been reading about ACV. I have a non flat mole on my shoulder and i don’t like it at all.
I tried ACV its been 4 days but nothing has changed until now.
My mole is already a dark, non flat one.
How many days/week will it take to be removed completely?
I heard some people said that their mole turned black then it became like scrub and fell down. But mine is already black so what will happen? ACV will really works or im just wasting my time?
Will it work for someone who has Becker’s Nevus? I have it on my chest here.
http://img.medscapestatic.com/pi/meds/ckb/49/27949tn.jpg
I’m mainly worried about the discoloration. Will braggs apple cider vinegar help?
This definitely works on warts.
I had a plantar wart mosaic on my foot. (Gym shower floors with no sandals). I personally used the make-up remover pads and cut them in the shape I needed. I used duct tape and covered up the wart nightly. 3-5 nights. It turned black and it literally just fell out.
Good luck!
Happy it worked for you!
Just wondering if this works on flat moles?
It did work for me, completely flat between the brows. It was a good half a millimeter. However, I left a huge dent in my skin because I left it for too long. It took a solid month for the skin to be flat and smooth. The only downside now is that I used a Q Tip (the end of it) and now I have a pinkish mark between the brows in the shape of the Qtip. I put
Coconut Oil on it and I did it mid November-ish. So hopefully it will disappear.
P.S the flat mole fell off, literally. It grew back a week later and picked it out again (probably not a good idea) but a full month later the flat mole is gone. Just waiting for the pinkish to go away.
I would highly recommend getting a BB Cream if you want to hide the dent in your face.
I haven’t tried it on a flat mole myself, but I’ve read that it has worked for people online.
Hi Lori,
The process worked for me with a flat mole. However, I was wondering when the pinkish mark will go away? How was your experience? I’m kind of paranoid that this thing will never go away. (The flat mole was between the brows so I want to stop rubbing bb cream on my face already lol)
I am in the process of using this method (as my GP would not re-refer me to dermatology) after researching on the internet, heading in the right direction I think, after using for two days, the mole seems much flatter and is starting to scab over, fingers crossed as I have got quite paranoid as the mole is just above my upper lip and was quite large.
Keep us updated 🙂
I’m going to try it with my warts.
Good luck 🙂
Hi Lori, I applied acv on my facial raised mole above my lip last night and plan to do the same tonight but I’m a little worried as Today my mole is red and it stings and stands out a lot more than yesterday. Is this okay and do you think I should carry on applying ?
Is the mole red or the skin around the mole? Mine was definitely a little irritated from the ACV.
Hi Lori
I removed mole using acv please tell me about aftercare
thank u
How does your skin look now? Is the mole gone?
can i use tape instead of bandaid? what tpu think!
I don’t think it would stick as well. The ACV might leak out of it more.
Awesome! Thanks for posting this; will definitely be trying! But I have a question; do you think that this will work with beauty marks, also? Thanks again!
I haven’t tried it on any of my beauty marks yet, but I really want to! Keep us updated if you give it a try.
Hi! Can i know what the diffrence between apple vinegar and acv ? Is it the same? Is it okay for me to use apple vinegar to apply on my face?
It’s exactly the same. ACV is just an acronym for apple cider vinegar.
Hi Lori, can you post a picture of your “mole”? I am wondering what it looks like presently …thanks!
Yes! Thank you for the reminder 🙂
Lori, I’m really anxious to see what it looks like, will you be posting a picture soon?? Sorry for pestering you but I’m really curious how invisible or noticeable it is today…! Thank you !!!
Hi I just wanted to share my experience. I used ACV to remove a raised mole on the side of my nose about five years ago. I put organic unfiltered Apple cider vinegar on a q tip and applied it to my mole every night. I did not sleep with a bandage, nor did I leave a bandage on my face during the day. I did not want any scarring since it was on my nose, so I continued to apply the A C V to my mole directly. Within a few days to a week the mole formed a scab and to my delight part of the mole fell off. I continued on the remainder of the mole very gently and took my Tim until I was happy with the results. I never had an infection and I don’t have any scarring. I’m planning on doing this procedure again with a mole on the center of my nose. It may take a little longer and require more patience, but I recommend going slower if its a facial mole. All in all I’m happy with my results and am going to try it again. Good luck everyone!
Happy to hear of your good results. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Hi Lori, great article. I tried this on a facial mole about a month ago and although it did get rid of it leaving smooth skin, the area has remained quite pink with a tiny spec in the middle much like yours sounds like. How long did yours stay pink/red for before turning to normal skin colour and did you do any aftercare to help it along? Hope you can help, thanks.
It stayed pink for a month or so. It’s not pink at all anymore. I didn’t apply anything afterwards. Just made sure to keep it out of the sunlight to prevent any issues with pigmentation.
Hi, I have about 8 small dark moles on my face that are all flat. I didn’t want to test ACV straight on my face so I tried it out on a small mole on my arm. After a couple of days of adding it, I have a small indent where the mole used to be but the area around it is quite pink and it stings whenever I reaply the ACV. Should I try it on my face or wait and see if the pink area fades? I’ve also heard that you should dilute the ACV so it isn’t so acidic. What do you think?
Hey! I know what you mean, so I also have a flat one on my face that I’m treating right now! My advice: make sure to put Vaseline around the sourrounsing area of the mole! I got chemical burn and it was not pretty when I didn’t put any! I’ll keep you updated on how mine goes! (I don’t sleep with it on, I press a small cotton ball soaked in acv to my face for about a hour) good luck! 🙂
Hi Lila, the flat mole on my arm has completely disappeared now and the burn area is not pink anymore. It is a bit rough though around the area because I soaked a footed ball in ACV and used tape but I slept with it on. The area is also a tiny shade darker then the rest of my skin but I’m hoping that will fade after a while. I light try it again on another mole before I put it on my face. Thanks for your updates
Did the mole scab up and fall off?
Mine didn’t really scab up (guess it was because it was flat) but it did fall off. The area is completely healed around it now after I got the acid burn. The area where the mole was isn’t a little indent anymore and is level with the skin but it’s a tiny bit pink. I’ll be trying it on another mole soon. Will keep you updated X
Ello! I have this (slightly) raised mold on my face, and I slept with apple cider vinigar, bandaid, cotton ball half, (no vasilene though) and it left a bad burn, (it is the first day in starting treatment) is there any way I can fix it? Tomorrow is our family phototshoot and I can’t wear makeup 🙁
It’s starting to get a white layer on it… sombody please help 😅
Did it affect the skin around the mole or only the mole?
It will fade away after awhile, but try it on a less noticeable part on your face, I’m trying it on mine (flat one) which is very noticeable on my face, and I’ll keep you updated on how it goes. Make sure to surround around the mole with vadiline!!! It’s must have, or you can get acid burn, which is NOT pretty! (Experience) I don’t sleep with it on, I just press it against my face while I’m watching tv (about a hour or three a day, it helps, cause you don’t unconsciously toss and turn! Good luck!!
Keep us updated. I haven’t tried it on a flat mole yet, but want to later this summer.
Uh… should I be concerned that my lip is swelling?….
It has stopped swelling a bit, but is forming this filmy layer now that it’s flat, and I think I can still see a bit of my mole…
Now it’s starting to form a silken white layer, and it has caved in, Let me know if you want a picture! And my chemical burn looks pretty bad, and idk if it’s going to go away, I had to fake it and tell people I got a rug burn from a rough pillow ;(
Great, thanks for yalls help. :/
I have a mole in my upper lip and beside my belly button. I tried this yesterday, tonight is my day 2 of trying I hope this will turn out well. I’m nervous tho.
Good luck!
Sorryi was rude! I was a bit concerned at first, but it did work 🙂 it didn’t even leave a scar! But it made a hole into my skin (that took a week or two to heal) where the mole was. It does work, but I would not suggest it on a noticeable part of your face (only because the face that it burrows into your skin for a while. Thank you!! :))
Hello can I know what you did when it forms a silken whiye layer? Because mine did the same and my mole also cave in. I’m worried cause I didn’t tell my parents yet.
Thanks for sharing your results!
Yeah dude! Okay, what I did, was I totally hid my face, I’m talkin, hair over my face lookin all emo. It only lasts a bit tho. Don’t apply any moisture to it when it does, let it dry out, and is okay that it caved in
Yeah I did what you said and it works 🙂 now it’s just a whole in my skin but I’m happy with the result thanks!
Hi Lori! I have some questions about this topic. I’ve been thinking on doing this but here’s one thing that I’ve been worried about. If my mole is deep and when I remove it not all of the mole is removed, what happens if the remaining cells under the surface of the skin becomes cancerous after some years? Is it possible for the cancer to go unnoticed and spread under the skin? Looking forward to your answer. Thanks in advance!
That’s a great question. I’m not sure of the answer though. For me, it seemed to remove the whole root of the mole.
I am just about to try this but I a must scared it will cause an infection, had ahnyone here had bad infections? It is just a normal mole, not raised but I am just quite anxious about infection.
Thanks,
Sasha
hello everyone! just like you all i tried the acv method on two of my tiny and slightly raised moles on my face ( cheek and forehead).
Here is what was my experience – the raised part of both the moles have gone only a flat layer has been left. And i think i will try to remove the flat part of mole again by applying acv.
Now i am going to share a tip. When you done removing your mole, when no infection or no scab is left. Just wash your face with coconut oil mixed with a little bit of baking soda. Since baking soda is basic in nature if will heal the chemically burned skin quickly and it will also exfoliate the skin thus making it smooth. Just make sure you don’t have any sensitivity. Any advice regarding my 2nd part of mole removal process will be appreciated.
Thank you for sharing 🙂
Hi my mole on my face, Cheek, has been with me since I’m young. Now I’m 28 years old and I would like to remove it. The mole must be rooted by now. Should I consult my doctor or try the ACV first ?
I have one on my face that I’ve been wanting to try it on. I just started today with the ACV..we’ll see what happens 🙂 If it works for this mole, I’ll post the pics.
Hi, I used apple cider vinegar to remove a mole above my lip about a few months ago. I’m a minor and my parents weren’t too happy about me using an acid to disfigure my face, so they made me moisturize like crazy after about two applications. Surprisingly enough, the mole fell off three days after I began the intense moisturizing! Now, I’m trying to remove two moles on my chin and one mole above my eyebrow. This time I got in much more apple cider vinegar sessions, and I even concocted a mixture of toothpaste, hydrogen peroxide, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice which is perfect for overnight application since it dries quickly and does not drip off of my face, no bandages, no hassle. Anyway, I guess my point is that once it turns into a red, irritated scar and the mole is black/darkened, you can relieve your skin and began intense moisturizing and it will still fall off.
Glad to hear you had success!
Hi I did this method in removing a mole above my lip but it didn’t fall off so I decided to pull it off since it’s taking a while, it leave a hole but it’s fine. Days after it got slightly dark so I thought that I didn’t remove it properly so I tried it again. After a couple of days it got darker and it formed a plastic-like skin around it so I continue applying acv then the skin around it gets hard so I sratch it off. The dark skin is replaced by a slightly gray colored skin but then after a couple of days it’ll be back again. I’ve tried this method so many times up until now but I still didn’t get rid of it. Can someone know what to do? It’s kinda frustrating, hope someone will help. 🙁
How are you doing now?
I decided to stop doing it cause it’s not working. Tho my mole became flat but still, the black skin is still there. I’m trying to find another method and will give it a try.
Let us know if you find anything that works 🙂
hi Lori, i removed a mole on my hand two months ago with ACV. it left a big red scar, but it’s fading and getting smaller. the problem is, a month ago i noticed there are some irregular dark pigments on the area where the mole was.i thought it was ok but it’s expanding and getting darker. i’m worried if it will come back larger and darker and worse than my original mole. will it happen? thanks in advance
That happened to me, a tiny dot of a freckle came back. I think I didn’t completely kill the mole. I applied it again and it went away.
Hi Lori, I removed my wart on my nose with the help of apple cider vinegar, however I have redness on that place, will it leave a scar? What should I do?
My redness faded over time. How long has it been?
Its been two weeks now, my redness has become very less, however now the scar is white with a little red rim around it . I dont know when it will go.I am putting aloe vera to it.
Mine was red for several weeks. It took a few months for the redness to completely fade. It takes time to heal 🙂
Oh Ok yes I think atleast 6months,but do the scars fade away?
Yes, my redness completely faded.
Hi Prajakta,
I too did the same thing on my face and now there are 2 marks. One of it is exactly like you described – whitish with a red/brown rim around.
I did this in August, it’s been 3 months and the marks are still there. I have Indian skin.
Did your marks go away?
Hi, I have a small and slightly raised black mole on my cheek. I tried this method and it worked. My mole was gone. However, there’s still a black spot where the mole was. I don’t know what it is maybe a remnant of my mole, but it’s flat. I want to have the same result as yours, having pink skin underneath that may fade over time. Can you help me?
That happened to me too. A freckle came back in it’s spot. I guess I didn’t completely kill the mole. My dermatologist said that I could reapply to get rid of the rest of it, so I did.
I reapplied the acv on my flattened mole. Now it has turned brownish/slightly pink. Yay for me. But I don’t know if I should reapply it again to completely remove it.
I stopped when it started looking like a scab.
I have a pretty noticeable mole on my temple that I’ve decided to remove. I tried the ACV the other day and it didn’t do anything. Today I used an emery board first to open the skin a little and tried again. My mole stung a little, and after an hour or so I took off the cotton and see that the mole is swollen looking and close to white already. I have had moles removed surgically before (they just shave it off with a razor blade and then burn the wound shut so it doesn’t bleed–not that complex imo) and have had pink shiny scars for years after, so I’m not afraid of scarring. A pink flat scar is better than a brown raised mole…wish me luck and thanks for the article.
Good luck!
HI! Thanks for this article – I applied and its gone!
However, now I am left with a red mark – almost like an acne mark.
Any advice on how to lessen this?!
My redness faded with time. My dermatologist always says to keep it moisturized..with oil or anything.
Hi Lori, I’m so glad I found this page.
I used acv on my face trying to remove 2 small raised mole/tags.
The mole burnt in size a little but did not scab. My skin surrounding the mole scabbed and fell. The new skin was pinkish-reddish. I went to a derm and he gave me an ointment which took away the reddness. But I now have PIH (maybe because I have Indian skin)
I did this in August and now it’s Nov-almost 3 months. I still have the marks…it looks pinkish when I look closely but brownish from a distance.
Pls tell me precisely how much time did it take for your marks to completely go away?
Also, your skin looks a little dark in the ‘6 months post’ pic. Is it dark? Or did the marks, darkness, redness all completely go away without any trace after 6 months? I’m worried. Please reply…
And did you try it on your face? Pls update us with your pics. Thanks.
The redness took at least a few months to go away for me. Can depend on the person and the location. PIH always takes longer on my face compared to body.
Hi Lori
I tried it back in september and it worked and I was really happy with the results, however in the last week or so i have notice d a small bump in the same place and Im worried its coming back! Did you experience anything like this? Do you think I can do it again?
Yes, I had a tiny freckle come back and had to do the process again to get rid of it.
Apple Cider Vinegar is an effective home remedy that can be used to safely remove skin tags. It is rich in acetic acid which break down the excess cells responsible for the formation of skin tags. It is also brilliant for many other skin problems and infections.
I have a large, raised mole on the side of my nostril (of all places). I had it since I was a teenager, was told it was benign, and a dermatologist removed it twice…it grew back each time as he told me it would because of that ‘root’.
At the base it is a whitish flesh-colored bump, brown freckle-colored from there on up. It’s pretty large and deep, if you ask me. I found that using pieces of cotton ball dipped in apple cider vinegar, band aids, covered with duck tape removed warts quickly. Husband discovered shortly thereafter that a cotton ball dipped in apple cider vinegar prevents a cold sore he feels developing from coming to fruition, drying it up.
Desperate to get rid of this mole now, but so worried I’ll have a crater or hole in my nostril instead as the nostril skin/cartilage isn’t really thick, so the root probably goes deep. Do you think it’s worth a try?
It didn’t create any sort of hole for me, but maybe it depends on the mole?
I’m just worried because it’s sort of on the cartilage part of my nostril, on the outer side of it, but close to the opening of it where the hole to the nostril forms. I was thinking of doing it slowly, a little at a time, letting it scab over and heal between treatments, moisturizing it to minimize scarring. How many treatments will it take to scab over some? If I do it a little at a time, I can stop if I see any craters beginning.
Are moles caused by viruses? I mean, if apple cider vinegar gets rid of warts and cold sores…?
Duck tape on top of the band aid works great, by the way, especially if whatever you’re trying to remove (warts, for example) are in awkward places. It prevents the apple cider vinegar from leaking out or drying out, creating a good seal.
Hi, is there a limit to how long i can put the ACV on? Can i leave it on day and night? To speed up the process?
I had to leave it on 24/7 in order for it to work on my second mole.
I don’t think I’m going to try the apple cider vinegar method on the mole on my nostril after all…too scared because I’m guessing the root of my mole goes deep into the cartilage like the mole on this man’s nostril. (Mine is in the same vicinity.) Mine isn’t as big in diameter or as pigmented as this man’s, but it IS as raised. Like I think I said before, I had it removed twice, but was told it would grow back both times, and it did, because the root remained. Here’s a video of a cosmetic surgeon removing a mole deep in the cartilage of the nostril, including the root. I can’t afford a cosmetic surgeon, so I guess I’ll just have to live with mine. I’ll try the ACV method on other moles in less conspicuous areas though.

I have a dark blue mole about 2mm on my upper lip, looks uncongenial to kissing.
I need to use my mouth for usual functions, so I guess applying a plaster might not work. Any suggestions or experience?
u kno i was really irritated by this mole.at last ACV helps me to remove it completely.. YES it actually works…
I have a mole o.n the tip on my nose! I hate it! I’m on the third day on the ACV. My moles is dark and It flattened. It’s embarrassing because I have this dark spot on my nose, the skin around it got a little burnt l. The first day I applied the ACV but the cotton was too large and got around the surrounding skin. I just hope everything heal fine and the mole goes away, so far I think it will just looks really ugly. With these kind of things there is always a chance for anything and I took the chance and now I have to stick with it. I think the best advice for anyone doing this is patience.
I just used it on a mole on my cheek and I’m so happy with how it looks now. The apple cider vinegar removed the mole and it’s just a little pink in the spot now.
I read a lot and I found the courage to do it on my face.
Let’s see in few days.
I just used apple cider vinegar on a mole on my cheek. I’m so happy with how it looks now – just a little pink.
ACV has amazing results on skin. Try it.
Will it leave a scar?
My skin was slightly pink for several months. It faded completely now and there is no scar. I was worried there would be an indent but, there wasn’t at all for me.
I have a mole under my eye, so how do I remove it without getting the bandage or ACV on my eyebrow?
I have a mole right above my eye and below my eyebtow, so how will I remove it without getting ACV in my eye or eyebrows? Thanks!
Is it a large mole covering the whole area or two separate moles?
Just a medium sized mole.
will this work for flat moles?
Yes, it worked for mine.
Will the mole still be removed if I hold the cotton ball on it for a few seconds until it hurts?
I had to leave it on several days to get it to work for me.
Can you wash your skin in between each session with like facewash/body wash (depending on where the mole is) or do I have to keep it dry? And with moisturizer or oils too or are they for after the mole falls off? If I remove the moles on my face is it ok to use makeup after it has fallen off just incase I want to hide the discolouration of my skin or would I have to wait till it’s fully healed? Just curious because I have two slightly raised ones between my lip and nose (3mm) and by the corner of my lip (2mm)and wear makeup frequently.
I didn’t wash my skin in between. I’m not sure if that would change the result. I just used this method with another mole on my cheek and I did it on a weekend where I knew I wouldn’t have to wear makeup (probably best if possible).
I’m going to try this! I have so many moles and I hate them. I had one removed from my face (flat mole) by a doctor (lasered or something similar not cut out) and like you I was also left with a tiny freckle-was very happy with the outcome still, but would cost a fortune/take forever to get all the moles I have removed! They are only small and all of them are flat but I’d love to get rid of every single one. Thanks for the tips/advice!
Keep us updated!
I think the lady meant if its a mole it should be checked out because if it’s irregular it will be need to be taken off and sent away for testing to make sure it isn’t skin cancer!!
If you don’t have 6-8 hours a day to leave this on your skin, can it be broken down to an hour a day? I have to work and I can’t go to work with a bandage on my face. I have read where you could do the same exact thing but they said an hour. Thank you!
Hi Danielle, I don’t think it would work unless you leave it on pretty long. I tried leaving it on for less time and it didn’t do anything but make my mole a little red.
Ok so I finally got around to trying this and am pleased to say it worked! I’m super happy with the results! Ok so this is what I did- I started off by rubbing the mole (which was flat) with an emery board as I felt like I wanted to give the mole the best chance of soaking up the ACV. Then for the first few days I was just dabbing the mole with the ACV and then covering it with a plaster (band aid)-however this clearly wasn’t enough as after a few days not much had changed. I also tried dabbing other moles with ACV multiple times a day but nothing happened-I was trying it this way first due to the amount of moles I want to remove and how time consuming putting a cotton swab and band aid on every one would be (I wanted to do them all at the same time) but that is obviously the only way it works.
So I gave it another go-this time I soaked a small bit of a cotton wool ball in the ACV and put it directly on the mole, then put a plaster on top-keeping it there until I next had a shower (I decided to keep it on overnight) I thought the plaster would come off at some point but it actually stayed in place really well every time.
Ok so on about day 3 of the new process I noticed the mole was much darker and had scabbed over. I stopped applying the ACV but about 3 days later got impatient that nothing was happening-I know you are supposed to wait for the scab to fall off but I wasn’t sure if it was actually working or even was a scab so I tried picking it and the mole just peeled right off! I was so amazed! There was no blood or anything even though I pulled it off-it wasn’t like an ordinary scab. There is just a little pink area now slightly indented that is smaller than the mole was and already looks better than before. I literally just took the scab off half an hour ago and was so amazed I had to update right away! I am so happy with the results! Will update again in a couple of weeks if anyone is interested-this really does work and I will be trying it on all of my other moles.
Thank you for sharing! I’m really happy with my results too 🙂
Should it work faster with smaller and flat moles?
I’m not sure. I’ve used it on 3 different moles and it took about the same time for each.
I only have 2
questions, does it really remove a mole?and does it leave a scar?
It removed the mold for me and didn’t leave a scar, luckily.
I used this method for a nasty, deep, ugly planter’s wart on the bottom of my foot. I had already tried wart remover and freezing it twice. That didn’t work. It was so deep. Friends told us about this method they used on their daughter’s wart that had come back even after a doctor removed it. I put the ACV on the cotton part of a Band-Aid and put that on the wart at night when I went to bed. I took it off in the morning, and reapplied at night. Sometimes I forgot to do it, but bit by bit, this started to work. I could not believe it! In a matter of a couple months (remember, this was DEEP), it was gone! Never returned! I tell everyone who has a wart about this!
Thank you for sharing!
Has anyone considered neosporin after the mole scabs?
