I love this natural DIY facial toner. I use it once in the morning and at night. It helps minimize my pores and prevents breakouts.
If you have oily or acne prone skin like me, I highly recommend adding a natural DIY facial toner to your skincare routine. For me, using a toner has been part of my daily routine for years. Especially if I have been wearing makeup all day, using a toner feels so refreshing. Recently, I’ve stayed away from store bought toners to avoid any irritating chemicals, preservatives, or parabens. Now I make my own natural DIY facial toner for less than half the price of what I used to pay! To make a natural DIY facial toner I use only two simple ingredients, apple cider vinegar and distilled water.
Natural DIY Facial Toner Benefits:
Apple cider vinegar has so many uses! I always have some in my house, so I was pretty excited to find this DIY facial toner recipe. It has amazing benefits for the skin. It is able to restore pH levels, brighten, and even out your complexion (this is especially beneficial if you have acne scarring). Apple cider vinegar provides antiseptic and antibacterial properties to prevent acne, oily skin, and remove dead skin cells. I especially love this recipe because of how it reduces the size of my pores. I am amazed that this DIY facial toner is able to do so much with only two ingredients!
How Often Should You Use It:
I typically use this DIY facial toner twice a day, once in the morning and again before I go to bed. I love how simple the recipe is and that I can adjust the ratio of vinegar to water as needed. I highly recommend trying this out if you’re currently using a store bought toner! Or if you don’t use toner yet, this is a safe, cheap and easy recipe to try out at home.
I’ve noticed that it has helped keep my skin clearer. I have less breakouts and my pores seem smaller right after I apply it.
I like to apply the natural DIY facial toner before I put on any make-up or concealer. That way, it seems like it continues to fight breakouts while I still have a little cover up on to help hide them.
This Facial Toner with Apple Cider Vinegar is Great for Fighting Acne
I’m always prone to getting breakouts. I’ve tried many of the acne products out there and most of the natural remedies for acne too. Apple cider vinegar is one of the natural remedies for acne that always helps my skin. That’s why as soon as I read about using it as an ingredient in a facial toner, I knew I had to try it. This toner has also helped my oily skin too! This natural DIY facial toner helps remove oil and dirt from your pores that can cause breakouts.
How to Make a Natural DIY Facial Toner
What You Need:
If the vinegar scent is too overwhelming, you can always use more water to dilute it until you find what works right for you.
1. Mix the distilled water and apple cider vinegar together in the bottle.
2. After you are finished washing your face, apply the mixture to a cotton pad and wipe it over your skin. I apply it to my whole face. Be careful to avoid getting too close to your eyes.
3. After the vinegar has dried apply a moisturizer. I use hempseed oil as my primary moisturizer. You can apply makeup after the DIY facial toner as well. I usually wait a few minutes to make sure it has fully dried before applying any makeup.
